On 24 April 2024 EU parliament adopted new measures to make packaging more sustainable and reduce packaging waste in the EU called the PPWR<\/strong> ( Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulations). On 16 december the EU council signed of the PPWR, meaning that is becomes effective 18 months later , half 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ca 325 pages Regulations concern all packaging materials and have effect on all economic operators (Horeca\/ Retail \/ Manufacturer\/ Converter\/Distributor\/ Importer\/ Material supplier\u2026)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

This is the biggest change and most significant EU regulation on packaging since the introduction of the original PPWD in 1994<\/p>\n\n\n\n
